The BWBD Discovery Stage
The Better Work By Design (BWBD) Discovery stage involves engaging workers doing similar work to provide a work-as-done (as opposed to a work-as-imagined) view of their current work in relation to factors that are harmful to, as well as protective of, their wellbeing.
We offer the following tools to help organisations do this.
BWBD Card Sort
- A 2-hour card-sort Discovery workshop facilitated by either the organisation itself or a trained Leading Safety facilitator.
- The work-related factors are translated into Te reo Māori, Samoan, Mandarin, Korean, Tongan, and Hinglish.
BWBD Rating Scales
- A 3-hour Discovery workshop using the hardcopy BWBD assessment tool and facilitated by a trained Leading Safety facilitator.
- A summary of the Discovery findings is provided for each work group.
BWBD Online
- A 2.5-hour online Discovery workshop facilitated by Dr Hillary Bennett through recorded video clips.
- A summary of the Discovery findings is provided for each work group.
